Sentinel Spectrum for Dogs FAQs
The following are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Sentinel Spectrum for Dogs. If you have a different question concerning this product, please contact us.
Are Sentinel Spectrum Chews for Dogs suitable for my new puppy?
Sentinel Spectrum for Dogs are suitable for puppies from six (6) weeks of age. Puppies may grow in size significantly over the first 6 months. If you are uncertain as to which size pack is suitable for your growing puppy, please contact us.
How do I switch to Sentinel for Dogs from another heartworm medication?
It's easy to switch to Sentinel for Dogs if your dog is currently receiving a heartworm preventative. If your dog has been receiving daily heartworm tablets containing DEC (diethyl-carbamazine citrate), give the first dose of Sentinel for Dogs 1 month after their last DEC dose. If switching from a monthly heartworm preventative, then start giving Sentinel Chews when your pet's next monthly dose is due.
What happens if I am late in dosing or my dog misses a dose?
If you miss the scheduled dosing date for your dog by 15 days or less, give their Sentinel dose immediately and resume a monthly dosing schedule. If your pet misses their dose by between 15 and 30 days, redose immediately and maintain monthly dosing for at least the next two months. If it has been 60 days or more since your pet's last dose, please discuss this with your veterinarian.
